Remember the Eagle Drive-In Theatre? This photo was take about 1956-8 as "Bend of the River" was not released until 1955. This information came from Jerry Garret with the following story for the photo ~ The photo and an e-mail came to Jerry from Susie Gholson Rice who thought the photo might be wanted for an album. It was found in a box of pictures belonging to Mrs. Margie Largent who died about a year ago. She was the mother-in-law of Susie's brother, Robert Gholson, HHS class of 1951. His wife, Nola, attended school in Hobbs but didn't graduate in Hobbs. The Eagle Drive-in lasted until 1961 when a 120+ wind blew it flat.    Photo courtesy of Susie Gholson Rice ~ by way of Jerry Barrett
